Taking Poetry Across the River

In my last post, I mentioned three forthcoming readings. The first will take place next Saturday, March 25, at the Anacostia Neighborhood Library from 2:00-4:00 p.m. I will be joined by Baltimore poet Abdul Ali. This reading is the first in a series of three involving two featured readers and an open mic, The DC Poet Project. We are hoping to discover a new poetic talent in the DMV who has not had the opportunity to publish a book of their poems. Click the link for details. The featured readers alone are a good reason to attend, but your support for our taking poetry to the culturally-underserved East of the River community and our search for an undiscovered local poet will be invaluable.
