DC Poet Project Debuts Tomorrow!

The first reading in Day Eight’s DC Poet Project is happening tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Anacostia Neighborhood Library. Join me and Baltimore poet Abdul Ali as we read our own work, then open the mic to local poets. We will choose a winner from the open-mic readers to receive a $100 prize and then advance to a final reading where she/he will compete against the winners from the second and third readings. We will award the final winner with publication  of a chapbook of his/her original poetry. Note: All poets are welcome to read, but you must not have published your work in book form previously. Full details here.

And here’s a preview of my reading. Hope to see you tomorrow!
